Budapest – 23rd August, 2009.
So I make my way to a place called momento park. Not too long ago this place was under Soviet rule. A lot of the soviet statues after Budapest was liberated were uprooted and placed in this park.
Its a fair hike from central Budapest. And the ticket price is expensive. But the statues bring to life that era and how much history this city has. I wouldn’t come back to this place but its definitely an experience.
The park is rather small and dry. With statues all around the outskirts – it only takes about 30 minutes to walk around. Outside there is movie playing showing how spies were taught to be spies which is rather humourous.
So this is a short post….as thats all I did today. Pictures tell more than words. So Enjoy.
